Oliver Bonas is to open its first ever retail park stores at British Land’s Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park near Middlesbrough this autumn.

The leases mark Oliver Bonas’s retail park debut
The independent lifestyle brand has signed for a 2,800 sq ft retail space at Glasgow Fort, which will open in September, followed by a 3,190 sq ft site at Teesside Park near Middlesbrough later in the autumn, in what it called a “milestone” for the business.
British Land, which has enjoyed record leasing across its retail parks in recent months, said the additions reflect its hands-on asset management strategy, which offers a diverse, experience-led retail mix.
Over the past 12 months, it has secured 42,290 sq ft of lettings at Teesside Park.
Meanwhile, footfall at Glasgow Fort has risen 8% year-on-year over the past 12 months in its strongest annual performance to date. In May, BL submitted plans for a 60,000 sq ft expansion at the Scottish site.
Matthew Reed, head of asset management, retail parks, at British Land, said the firm was seeing strong momentum in both footfall and retailer demand at both retail parks.
“Oliver Bonas is a brand with a very clear identity and a loyal following, so their decision to open at both Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park speaks volumes about the strength of our regional destinations and the opportunity they offer,” he said.
Reed added: “As a well-established national retailer, Oliver Bonas adds real depth to our line-up and further strengthens our lifestyle proposition. Their move also highlights the continued strength of the retail park format, with brands increasingly recognising the benefits of these well-connected, high-performing destinations.
“We’re always looking at how we can reposition, reinvest and refine the mix of stores and activities at our retail parks to reflect how customers are actually spending their time and money.”
Sevda Cankorur, head of retail at Oliver Bonas, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing our expansion with the opening of new stores at Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park.
“These openings reflect our commitment to bringing Oliver Bonas to more communities across the UK. We look forward to welcoming customers through our doors and sharing our latest design-led collections, offering inspiration across fashion, homeware and gifts.”
