Redevco has acquired a prime industrial open storage (IOS) site in Widnes, Cheshire, in a £20m deal from an unnamed private investor.

Redevco has acquired the Ditton Road site in Widnes
The site, which is adjacent to the A562 Expressway, is fully let to Jaguar Land Rover on a new full repairing and insuring lease and is operated by DHL as a key supply chain hub supporting Jaguar’s Halewood manufacturing plant.
The refurbished industrial and office accommodation totals 64,513 sq ft on a 17.30-acre freehold site including 14.34 acres of fully concreted overage land.
The property includes three refurbished industrial units, a detached two-storey office building and extensive secure concreted yard space.
Savills advised Redevco on the acquistion. Jack Stacey, an investment director at the firm, said: “This acquisition demonstrates the continued strength of investor demand for high-quality industrial open- storage assets, particularly those let to exceptional covenants in strategically important locations.
“With limited supply of institutional-grade IOS opportunities, assets of this calibre continue to attract significant interest from investors seeking secure income and strong long-term fundamentals.”
