Berkeley has agreed a land deal with Places for London, Transport for London’s (TfL’s) property company, to take ownership of a 575-home development site in its Royal Arsenal Riverside scheme in Woolwich, south-east London.

Berkeley provided the site to Crossrail and TfL in 2010 to facilitate the delivery of the Woolwich Elizabeth line station, which was completed in 2022.
Planning has already been secured and construction is set to include around 6,500 sq ft of commercial space, new public realm and landscaped amenity space.
Located above the Elizabeth line station, the scheme will include a 35% provision for affordable housing.
The wider Royal Arsenal Riverside masterplan will see the creation of 5,000 new homes upon completion, 4,000 of which have already been delivered.
