Commercial property management and building consultancy Workman has strengthened its sustainability consultancy with three new appointments, joining its teams in Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester, Property Week can reveal.
Hope Walker
The hires build out the firm’s whole-life carbon, building performance and BREEAM in-use capabilities, responding to growing demand for data-led actionable sustainability advice. Workman said.
Icarus Au, a chartered engineer specialising in whole-life carbon assessment, modelling and sustainable building design, joins as WLCA & technical sustainability consultant in the Birmingham office.
He will lead the delivery of Workman’s whole-life carbon assessment services, using structured data frameworks to produce robust, auditable assessments that support clients’ compliance, decarbonisation and net zero ambitions.
Chi Wah Au
Rachael Entwistle, joins as senior sustainability consultant, building performance in Workman’s Manchester office. A self-described sustainability generalist, her work spans ESG strategy, ISO 14001 environmental management systems, BREEAM in-use certification, GRESB reporting and climate resilience.
Hope Walker, sustainability consultant, joins the Bristol office, bringing technical skills spanning building performance modelling using IES VE, domestic energy assessment as a qualified OCDEA, and whole-life carbon analysis through One Click LCA.

The hires follow a period of growth for Workman and its sustainability practice.
In April, Workman was brought in by Shaftesbury Capital to handle the REIT’s property management and operational finance services, replacing CBRE.
