The outline planning application for what would be one of RLAMP’s  largest logistics developments to date follows its acquisition of the site from Coca-Cola last September.

The scheme, comprising two large units capable of accommodating a range of occupier requirements, would be built in partnership with industrial and logistics development manager Graftongate and would have an estimated gross development value of £340m.

Brackmills Logistics Park is at the centre of the London-Oxford-Cambridge logistics ‘Golden Triangle’ with direct access to the M1, M6 and A14.

“The submission of this outline planning application marks another important milestone for Brackmills Logistics Park, having successfully secured a power allocation at the site earlier this year,” said Will Edwards, manager of the company’s Royal London Property Pension Fund.

He added: “Opportunities of this scale and prominence in the UK’s logistics Golden Triangle are exceptionally rare and the site offers the connectivity, labour access and flexibility needed to support modern logistics occupiers.”

The planned scheme is part of RLAMP’s strategy to expand its industrial and logistics portfolio by developing best-in-class assets. The firm has invested £3.5bn to date in industrial and logistics assets across the UK.
