The undeveloped plot is in a prime position on the park and Jansons said it would weigh up a number of options before bringing forward a development proposal.

The firm added that the purchase was part of its long-term investment strategy of identifying well-located employment sites across the Thames Valley and it is seeking further development opportunities.

It said Thames Valley Park, which is home to Microsoft, Oracle and Sanofi, was one of the region’s premier business parks, and would strengthen its portfolio of strategically located employment land across London and the South East.

Managing director Andy Janson added: “This acquisition extends our track record of purchasing employment land in established business locations. We have been active along the M4 corridor for 23 years, so to secure another site in the area, and on one of the pre-eminent business parks in the Thames Valley, is hugely positive.

“We continue to actively pursue allocated employment sites, existing industrial sites and business parks with medium-term development potential.”

Logix and Forsters acted for Jansons on the acquisition.
