Wetherell, in a joint venture with UK Sotheby’s International Realty, has put up for sale the sixth and seventh floors at apartment block Aldford House in Park Lane, London, with a guide price of £50m.

The floors, currently in shell condition, comprise four apartments totalling 18,910 sq ft, with planning consent for refurbishment and the addition of two penthouse apartments.
Proposals for the building also include the reinstatement of art nouveau-style iron and glass entrance doors to the Park Street entrances and replacing timber additions.
Aldford House, on the corner of Park Lane, Park Street, Aldford Street and South Street, was built in 1930-31 by the architectural partnership of George Val Myer and FJ Watson-Hart.
Peter Wetherell, founder and executive chairman of Wetherell, said: “Now that the freehold has been purchased by the residents, this is an opportunity to be part of the restoration of one of Park Lane’s ‘Grande Dame’ buildings from the 1930s building boom.”

From 1950 until 1964, the top-floor apartment was home to British film actress Dame Anna Neagle and her producer and director husband Herbert Wilcox.
