Newmark has strengthened its valuation business by hiring residential experts Lindsey Lock and Dan Scott as partners, Laura Wheatley as an associate and Oliver Light as a surveyor.
Lock and Scott will play a central role in broadening the firm’s regional coverage with a particular focus on the Home Counties, Eastern Region, London Fringe and South Midlands, supporting the growing demand for valuation advice across the living sectors, development markets and commercial investment.
They both join from BNP Paribas Real Estate, where they were senior directors within the regional valuation team, while Scott also served as head of valuation for the eastern region.
Their expertise spans traditional commercial assets, residential development and the living sectors, including purpose‑built student accommodation, build-to-rent, co‑living and residential investment blocks.
Wheatley, who also joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate, will bolster the company’s residential development and living‑sector valuation capabilities in London, while Light will support the residential single‑asset and investment valuation offering.
Light joins from Lamberts Chartered Surveyors and has nearly four years’ experience supporting residential valuation instructions.
Jonathan Godfrey, head of UK valuation at Newmark, said: “Further expanding our rapidly growing regional business is a key priority for valuation in the UK. This investment reinforces our ability to deliver consistent valuation advice across regional markets, through best-in-class experts, supported by an established and integrated UK operation.
“Together, these appointments form part of our wider UK Valuation business, delivering advice across mainstream sectors. By combining strong regional expertise with our established London presence, we are well positioned to deliver high-quality, consistent advice to clients across the UK.”
Recently, Newmark also promoted John Corlett to head of UK and European retail agency.
