The 12-acre site provides 230,000 sq ft of high-grade office space, adjacent to the 90-acre development site, which was granted planning consent by the government at the end of last year.
When fully developed, Marlow Studios will include 18 soundstages, flexible workspaces, innovation space and a training and skills academy.
“As the creative media market increasingly turns to the UK to deliver projects of all scales and formats for global audiences, Marlow Studios’ investment approach is to meet growing demand for premium infrastructure and production facilities,” said Robert Laycock, chief executive of Marlow Studios.
“The depth of talent here, and its capacity for leadership across film, television and technology, is exceptional. Our conviction is to build around those people to meet global demand.
“The addition of the Marlow International site to our portfolio supports that vision – both as a base for our expanding team and to accommodate inbound productions requiring office and pre-production space, even ahead of work commencing on the main site.”
The landmark project was approved following a lengthy planning saga that saw Buckinghamshire Council reject the plans in June 2024, despite backing from big-name film and TV figures such as Andy Serkis, Richard Curtis and James Cameron.
Then-secretary of state Angela Rayner called in the scheme in October 2024 as Labour pushed forward several high-profile developments in the months following the party’s election victory.
