Italian construction materials giant Fassa Bortolo has secured planning permission for a major new UK manufacturing and distribution facility at Verdant Regeneration’s New Stanton Park in Derbyshire.

New Stanton Park
The purpose-built production and logistics campus will comprise a manufacturing plant, 140,000 sq ft of warehousing and distribution space, 30,000 sq ft of office headquarters and a training centre.
The facility will have capacity to annually produce approximately 300,000 tonnes of specialist pre-mix renders and plasters.
Fassa joins freight logistics business DX Group as the latest major sign-up to the site, with a further deal imminent with an unnamed Japanese manufacturing business.
Verdant Regeneration director David Ward said: “Fassa’s investment demonstrates growing occupier confidence in the site as a location for state-of-the-art industrial production and we expect other occupiers to follow.”
New Stanton Park covers more than 200 acres and has outline permission in place for B2 and B8 industrial and warehouse uses. The site can accommodate a single building of up to 1m sq ft.
M1 Agency acted on behalf of Verdant Regeneration in securing the Fassa deal.
James Keeton, partner at M1, said: “New Stanton Park is oven-ready for vertical build with planning consent in place able to deliver up to 28m eaves height.
“Demand for manufacturing and logistics space in the East Midlands remains high. The site’s scale, utility support and genuine deliverability were key in securing Fassa Bortolo as an international investor and they make it a unique proposition in the East Midlands.”
