As part of a franchise agreement with Elevate Hotels Plymouth, a period property built in 1865 will become The New Continental Plymouth, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

The hotel will feature 120 fully renovated guest rooms, meeting facilities, a fitness centre, restaurant and bar. The hotel is scheduled to open in spring 2027.

The Cork City Centre Tapestry Collection by Hilton will have 103 guestrooms, including a mix of standard rooms and extended‑stay accommodation with kitchenettes, and is expected to open in autumn 2027 in partnership with JMK Group.

The hotels join four Tapestry Collection properties in Dover, York, Portrush and St Albans.

“Both signings highlight our commitment to expanding our lifestyle portfolio across the UK and Ireland,” said Nick Smart, vice-president, development, UK, Ireland and the Nordics at Hilton.

“These distinctive, locally inspired hotels tap into the vibrancy, rich heritage and growing tourism appeal of Plymouth and Cork, making them a great fit for the Tapestry Collection brand as we continue to grow our footprint beyond the biggest, most well-known cities.”

Hilton’s wider lifestyle brand expansion has included the recent signing of Motto by Hilton in Manchester, Tempo by Hilton in Belfast and two Curio Collection by Hilton hotels in London: The Derby London City and the recently opened The BoTree London in Mayfair.
