Housebuilder Avant Homes has secured planning permission to deliver the second phase of its scheme in Priorslee in Telford, Shropshire, which has a gross development value of £31.7m.

The second phase, located just off Castle Farm Way, will see the construction of 135 homes, comprising a mixture of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom properties, as well as 13 of Avant Homes’ energy-efficient house types.

The scheme, Priory Orchard, forms part of the Priorslee East Strategic Urban Extension development, which will see up to 1,100 new homes delivered as part of its masterplan.

The housebuilder bought the site in 2022, marking its first West Midlands acquisition.

Luke Scarborough, managing director of Avant Homes West Midlands, said: “As a housebuilder, our aim is to provide quality new homes for everyone, and Priory Orchard is an excellent example of this commitment in action.

“Our Monkswood development has proven hugely popular with first-time buyers and young families in Priorslee and we are pleased to bring forward the second phase in response to strong local demand.

“We now look forward to starting works at the second phase of our development and continue to grow this thriving community we have created in Priorslee.”

Construction is due to commence on site this spring, with the first homes ready for residents targeted for autumn.
