Industrial developer Panattoni has submitted a hybrid planning application for a 1m sq ft industrial and logistics scheme in Maidstone, Kent.
Panattoni Park Maidstone is planned for a 70-acre former manufacturing site in Lenham and has been designed to accommodate modern logistics, manufacturing and distribution operations. It would be built in multiple phases, the first including two 100,000 sq ft and 150,000 sq ft units.
Outline permission is also being sought for the second phase, which will include flexible build-to-suit facilities tailored to tenants’ needs. The site will also include around three miles of new and upgraded roads, cycle routes and footpaths.
The scheme will be near the A20 and M20, providing connections to London, the M25 and a number of UK ports.
Panattoni is targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC ‘A+’ certifications for the development.

Last month, Panattoni secured planning consent for T Park Southampton, a grade-A industrial and logistics development on Salisbury Road in Totton.
