Housebuilder Vistry Group has secured planning permission from Enfield Council to deliver 306 affordable homes next to North Middlesex University Hospital in Edmonton, east London.

The brownfield site was unlocked via a partnership with GLA Land and Property, Hyde and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. Designed by architect HTA, the scheme will comprise 152 social rent homes and 154 intermediate homes.
The wider development will also include key worker homes for eligible hospital staff, as well as a nursery and a café for residents and the local community.
The plans feature around 18,300 sq ft of new open and play space, alongside planting, sustainable drainage and improved walking and cycling routes.
The resolution is subject to completion of the Section 106 legal agreement, and construction is expected to begin later this year.

Earlier this summer, Vistry, via its Countryside Partnerships brand, and L&Q secured consent from Barking and Dagenham Council to develop 405 homes in east London, in phase B of the Beam Park regeneration masterplan.
