
Places for People (PfP) Students has appointed former JLL chairman Philip Hillman as an independent adviser to support its activities in the student accommodation sector.

Hillman will provide strategic insight and support to expand PfP Students’ networks and relationships.
He will focus on strengthening commercial strategy, enhancing customer value and supporting partnership, PfP said..
Hillman will also contribute to initiatives aimed at improving organisations’ effectiveness.
Hillman has more than 35 years of experience at JLL, where he held senior leadership roles including chairman of living capital markets and chairman of alternatives. He also led JLL’s student housing team and oversaw several large transactions in the sector.

In December, PfP merged with housing associations South Yorkshire Housing Association and Elim Housing, expanding its housing portfolio by 6,600 homes.
