Sue Brown will continue to advise REB following her departure

Brown joined REB, a membership organisation working to improve diversity and inclusion in UK real estate, in April 2020.

She will remain closely involved with the organisation as an adviser, specifically to support membership growth.

Brown said that after a short break, she intends to pursue new opportunities in the sector. Her replacement is set to be announced shortly.

Under her leadership, REB’s membership has grown by 66% and now includes 136 UK real estate organisations.

In a career spanning more than 40 years, Brown has worked with British Land, CBRE, SEGRO and Canary Wharf Group and was also a driving force behind the launch of Mipim.

REB chair Jo Davis said: “I know I speak on behalf of many in our industry in thanking Sue for the wonderful six years she has dedicated to REB. During this time, creating inclusive cultures has been one of the most urgent and high-profile issues in our industry, and Sue has led from the front and continued to drive positive change.

“I wish Sue every success in this exciting new phase of her career – I have no doubt that her perspective and expertise will continue to be invaluable.”

Brown said: “It has been an absolute privilege helping UK property organisations become fairer and better balanced over the past six years and I’d like to thank all the fantastic people I’ve worked with along the way.

“Having spent my whole career in real estate, I look forward to continuing to guide, challenge and support organisations in my network during the coming years.”
