Homes England has bolstered its executive leadership team with the appointment of Alison Crofton as chief regional delivery officer and Paul Murphy as chief risk officer.
The appointments have been made to support Homes England’s partners and help establish foundations for the £16bn National Housing Bank launched last year. Both Crofton and Murphy will take up their new roles from 1 March.
Currently serving as chief property officer, Crofton will lead delivery across the agency’s five regions, alongside the national technical capacity and co-ordination hub.
Meanwhile, Murphy is being promoted from his current position as deputy chief risk officer, where he will continue to lead the agency’s approach to risk management.
Homes England has also confirmed a new chief financial officer will be appointed before 1 April.
“I am delighted to be appointed as chief regional delivery officer as we accelerate towards becoming a world-leading housing and regeneration agency,” Crofton said.
“My focus will be on empowering locally led delivery with national solutions, bringing together place-based insight, strategic investment and delivery excellence. In this role, I am committed to driving innovation, momentum and partnership so we can deliver homes at pace and unlock economic growth across the country.”
Murphy added: “Housing is a critical priority for government and for society, and being entrusted with the role of chief risk officer is both a privilege and a responsibility. I look forward to continuing to strengthen our risk framework so we can support ambitious delivery while maintaining strong governance and resilience.”
Chief executive Amy Rees said: “By confirming our new executive leadership team, we are laying strong foundations to support colleagues across the agency as we transition to our new regional structure.
“This ensures we are ready to deliver for our partners and, most importantly, for the communities we serve. These appointments give us the leadership capacity, experience and clear focus needed for the year ahead.”
